As Christians we're called to "walk by the Spirit" and not according to the flesh. What does this mean? In part, it means that after receiving eternal life, we're called to a life of discipleship. But this isn't automatic. God doesn't force anyone one to trust in His Son, and for those who do trust in Him, God does not force anyone to become disciples of Jesus. It takes training, prayer, and trusting God each day as we endeavor to become more and more like the Son.
