In Psalm 42 we find the psalmist expressing deep emotions and feelings of discouragement, sadness, and being overwhelmed. As believers, we can identify with the Psalmist. Inwardly we sometimes ask ourselves, where are you God? The answer, He is near. Nothing can separate us from His love. "Why are you downcast O my soul...? Put your hope in God."
