James 2:1–13

Most of us probably think we don't struggle with partiality or favoritism. Even if we're willing to admit the fact that we may show slight partiality from time to time, we're not likely to think it is a big deal. I mean, what's the problem?

James tells us partiality is antithetical to the guiding principles of Christian conduct; It is opposed to the grace and mercy God showed us through our glorious Lord Jesus Christ. It is condemned by the Royal Law. As Christians, we'd do well to examine ourselves and determine whether we are valuing others as they ought to be valued.
