Philippians 3:12–4:1

In his letter to the Philippians, Paul reveals an inner tension between his desire to be with Christ and his willingness, for the sake of the Philippians, to remain for their encouragement and building up knowing that this too serves the Lord Jesus. He encourages the Philippians to press on like him in their service toward one another. Why? So that they may be unified, having one mind, and may live up to the perfection they've attained in Christ that will be made complete when He returns.
